Welcome to my website!​



I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1977 from Caldwell College.  I got married shortly after graduating and took a job in retail (had to pay the bills) and raised my family.  Fast forward to 2014 - I began my new career as artist.  I paint every day now working in oils, pastels and acrylics mostly.  My inspiration is nature - flowers, landscapes, animals to name a few.  I work in plein air quite often as working on site is an exhilarating experience.  I am able to connect with the environment in a unique way expressing all the moving parts in nature.  My work tends to be more realistic bordering on expressionistic and impressionistic at times.  I want my work to move the viewer and that's what I strive for in every piece I work on.  I am open to experimenting and trying new things so I hope you enjoy the ride with me.  If you are interested in any of the pieces or have an inquiry, please feel free to contact me at maryanngrib719@gmail.com.
